The Nature of Man
Genesis teaches that man has been made in the likeness and image of God. Both men and women equally are made in the image of God and gender differences do not indicate a greater or lesser likeness to God. The image of God is not based on personal ability, but is an intrinsic characteristic of being human. In the fall, the image of God is not totally lost, rather a sinful nature is added that twists human desires (James 1:14).
