The Trinity

I believe that the Bible clearly shows that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all God, but are also individual persons. The Bible testifies that the Father is God (Romans 15:16), that Jesus is God (John 1:1), and that the Holy Spirit is God (1 John 4:2). Still, there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 and 1 Corinthians 8:4) and all of our worship is directed to Him, not split between the three persons. The three persons are treated equally, and we are to minister in the names of all three (Matthew 28:19).
Although God has many attributes that share a name with human attributes, God does not merely possess each to a greater degree than humanly possible. God is omnipotent, all powerful in a way that is totally different than the limited strength of man. God is omniscient; He does not merely know much more than a person knows, but He has an unlimited understanding of everything. God's holiness and righteousness come from His nature and existence as God, while human holiness and righteousness come only as we are made like Him. God is unchanging and eternal, there never was and will never be a different god. God's sovereignty extends to all that is in the world and is ultimate, all that has come into being is due to Him
