I had the great privilege of marrying a friend of the family and my sister's best friend. Angela attended church with my family for many years and rode to school with us during high school, but it wasn't until I moved away for college that we thought about dating. I surprised Angela by asking her to marry me in November 2004, and Angela and I were married May 21, 2005 after I graduated from college.
Angela has been involved with ministry for all of her adult life. At Living Hope Church and at VCL she has regularly been on a worship team. She was part of a Trinity Wives group during the years I was in seminary, which was a bible study composed mostly of women who will become pastor's wives and was focused on preparing them for that time in their lives. During that time she was also mentoring a lady from Trinity College, and she hopes to have similar chances to mentor women in whatever church we end up at. We got married knowing that I was heading toward pastoral ministry and even before we started dating, Angela knew that she wanted to be actively involved in whatever church she was a part of.
