Ask any old fashioned science fiction writer and they will tell you that 2010 is the future. This was supposed to be the time of flying cars and moon colonies. Of course, not everything the sci-fi guys predicted came true but this is still a time where people are growing less tolerant of old tech.
If your church still doesn't have a website, this is probably a good time to get one. Actually, 1998 was a good time to get one, but you've already missed that bus. More and more people are going to expect better technology at their churches.
When churches started to get projectors, they were one step ahead of what people had in their homes. People would want to come to church to watch the football game on the big screen. Now, that big screen is just a low contrast ratio standard definition system which is so far up the wall that it doesn't seem any bigger than what a lot of people have in their living rooms. This year churches are going to be in a difficult spot where the cost to upgrade hardware to something that seems really good is too high and their old stuff may be failing.
This year the best bet will be to invest in better user visible software: website upgrades and add-ons, mobile web pages and apps, streaming and podcasting services. These will give you the most bang for your buck today, and help you save up for the larger hardware expenses in two to three years.
